On the Wrong Side

Here is John Carter's recent vote record on bills that are getting little attention in the news:
  • On the GIVE Act (description here), John Carter voted no. Thankfully the Act passed 275-149 (65%-35%).
  • On the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (description here), John Carter voted no. Thankfully the Act passed 298-112 (73%-27%). More about this bill here.
On both of these important bills -- one promoting greater participation in volunteerism and public service, and the other promoting better government regulation of a harmful and addictive drug -- John Carter was on the wrong side of the vote.

Replace John Carter in 2010.
